Gift cards

Open "Gift cards" in the menu. Under "Gift card for sale" enter a name, add the amounts (for example 25, 50 and 100 GEL, up to 12) and save — this creates a product of type "Gift card" where each amount is its own variant; you can also switch it off or change its photo in the product editor. In "Settings" you can turn on "Custom amount" (the buyer types any amount between your minimum and maximum) and choose "Validity" (no expiry, or 6, 12, 24 or 36 months). In your shop design add the "Gift cards" block (the card picture, amount choice and Buy) and the "Gift card balance" block (buyers check a balance with their code) — together they make your shop's gift card page. The block has four layouts: "Card picture with amount choice", "A card for every amount", "Designs list with a card carousel" and "Featured card, filters and a card grid"; card colours and the background are set in the block. The block stays hidden on your shop until you have a gift card for sale. Your shop also has a ready-made page at /gift-cards (for example shop.sellit.ge/gift-cards): a featured card, filters, every card and the balance check; if your home page has a "Gift cards" block, the page uses its texts and colours. The page shows only while you sell or have issued gift cards — add a link to it in your menu yourself. At checkout the buyer enters the recipient's name, email and a message (or gets the card at their own email); no delivery or address is asked. Once the order is paid — by card, or when you confirm a bank transfer or cash — every card gets its own 16-character code, emailed to the recipient; an order with only gift cards is marked "Delivered". We keep only a one-way fingerprint of the code, so you see just its last 4 characters. The buyer enters the code at checkout under "Gift card code" → "Apply" and sees the discount and the new total straight away; a card pays for products and delivery, but not for buying another gift card. The amount is held on the order, taken for good when the order is paid, and returned to the card if the card payment fails or you cancel the order (after 24 hours for a card payment that was never finished). When the card covers the whole total, the order is paid at once with no payment provider, and cancelling such an order puts the money back on the card. A full refund also returns the card amount, and cards bought with that order are switched off. "Issued cards" shows each card's balance, status, recipient and order; "Resend" cancels the old code and emails a new one (you can correct the email), "Disable" blocks the card. "Issue a card" lets you give one yourself (for example as compensation) — the code is shown once and emailed if you enter an email. Balance checks on the shop are limited to 10 tries per 10 minutes from one address.
