Discount codes (promo codes)
Marketing → "Discount codes": create a code that a buyer types at checkout, for example SALE20. A code is 3–24 characters: Latin letters, digits and a hyphen; buyers may type it in small letters too. Pick a kind: "Percent" (1–90% off the goods), "Amount" (in GEL, never more than the goods) or "Free delivery". Optionally set a minimum order (the goods total), a start and an end date, and a use limit such as "the first 50 buyers". The list shows each code's status (active, scheduled, expired, used up, paused) and how many times it was used; you can pause, resume, edit or delete a code. A code never makes a gift card cheaper. One code works per order. A code and a gift card can go together: the code comes off first, and the card covers the rest. A placed order holds one use of the code; when you cancel the order or its card payment fails, the use goes back to the code. You cannot change the products of an order that has a code. A checkout link and an order you record yourself (a DM order) keep their own price and take no code. When a code would take the order total to 0 GEL, the order cannot be placed: only a gift card can pay for a whole order. Instalments read the final total: when a code takes the total below 50 GEL, the buyer cannot pay in instalments. The Instagram and Messenger AI never tells buyers a code: you share it (in a post, an SMS, with an influencer). The AI can create, list and pause codes too (create_discount_code, list_discount_codes, pause_discount_code): tell it the code, the discount, the dates and the limit; it confirms with you, then creates it.
